As for the sleep mask, it affects the sleep sensitivity indicator (the strip at the top). With the mask on, the girl reacts less to your actions.

It just makes the night go by slower.
Roisanguy is right. The end-of-night timer does not change during the game, only the duration, i.e. the speed at which time passes, changes.
